do I get my card? |

| (1) Study
the Canadian Coast Guard's "Safe Boating Guide" |
| (2) Arrange
an appointment to take the written test (send email to bendekko@rogers.com
or phone 905-792-3615) |
| (3) I will
purchase the Student Registration PIN on your behalf (you reimburse me $34.95
+ GST = $37.40) |
| (4) The
test results will be submitted and if a passing grade is attained, a temporary
card can be printed immediately |
| (5) You'll
receive your permanent card via mail within 3 weeks |

| When
will I need TheOperatorCard? |
| |
| The Competency
of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations require operators of pleasure
craft fitted with a motor and used for recreational purposes to have proof
of competency on board at all times. These requirements are being phased
in over ten years (see table). |
